A New Season of Memories Awaits at Adventureland

A Letter from our General Manager Mike Lusky

We’re hard at work preparing for another unforgettable season at Adventureland and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

My name is Mike Lusky, and it’s been my privilege to serve as General Manager of Adventureland since 2023. When I first made the move to Altoona 3 years ago, one of the things that struck me most was how deeply this park is woven into the fabric of the community. For so many families, Adventureland isn’t just a place to visit, it’s a tradition that spans generations.

When Jack Krantz founded the park in 1974, his vision was simple, create a place where his family could make meaningful memories and connections as they worked alongside one another. More than 50 years later, that vision continues to guide everything we do, even as the park has grown to offer more than 35 attractions, 25 water attractions, and 10 seasonal events.

As we enter a new era of the park, under new family ownership, our commitment to you, our guests, has never been stronger as we carry forward our core mission in all we do, every day: Bringing Families Closer Together by Creating Memories Worth Repeating®.

With our Opening Day just 2 days away, we can’t wait to welcome you back to the park for an entire season of rides and events. Whether you're experiencing something new like Neon Nights, lighting up Adventure Bay on Friday and Saturday evenings this July and August, or returning to beloved traditions like our 12-year-old Oktoberfest, there’s truly something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

From the rush of riding the historic Tornado roller coaster, to cooling off at Adventure Bay on a hot afternoon, or sharing a meal together at the Potato Patch, we hope whatever brings you to the park creates lasting memories for you and your family.
