Phantom Fall Fest is Adventureland’s Halloween event for everyone! It features Iowa’s best thrills, rides and attractions, specialty food & drink options, and bone-chilling haunts and scare zones after dark.

Your safety, and the safety of our team members, is always our top priority. To ensure a seamless entry into the park and for the most enjoyable visit possible, we’ve enhanced our security procedures for the 2026 season. We are fully confident in our plan, and we want to help you be prepared before you visit the park.

All guests pass through our weapons detection system, which uses advanced digital sensors, at the front gate. Signage is in place to inform guests they are entering a security screening area.

Bags that are larger than 8” X 5” X 2” will not be permitted into the park with the exception of bags needed for childcare supplies and medical bags. Childcare and medical supplies must be brought in a soft-sided cooler or bag.

A Phantom Fall Fest ticket includes park access! Play during the day on family-friendly rides and enjoy new dining experiences, then fright all night with five haunts, four scare zones and your favorite thrill rides in the dark! It’s a can’t-miss event for the whole family.

For safety, security, and guest experience, individuals must remain identifiable. Masks, hoods, face coverings, or anything that conceals the face are prohibited unless for valid medical, religious, or weather-related protection. The Park may inquire as to the covering to ensure compliance with this policy. Costumes, face paint, and makeup may be further restricted during special events or specific times in the Park’s sole discretion for the safety of property and persons.

Notwithstanding any medical, religious, weather-related, or any other reason, the Park has broad discretion to keep property and persons safe at the Park. Thus, the Park and Hosts may request individuals to remove or adjust items to adhere to this policy. Individuals who violate this policy or refuse to adhere to the policy or requests from the Park or Hosts may be denied admission, removed from the Park without refund, and denied re-entry.

Yes! Discounts are available during Phantom Fall Fest for groups of 15 or more. Those tickets are available on the Groups web page.

Phantom Fall Fest nights are recommended for adults and brave children. If you or someone in your group becomes too scared to continue, there are many exits throughout each attraction. Please stop an actor and let them know and you will be directed to the exit. Guests under the age of 17 must have a chaperone with them that is over the age of 21. Chaperones may not escort more than 4 guests under the age of 17 into the park.

The actors will not touch you at Adventureland; however, they do get very close. Occasionally you may end up brushing up against their costumes or props.

Yes they are, but please stop by Guest Services so they can answer your questions and give you more specific information.

Yes, we use fog liberally during Phantom Fall Fest nights. If you find the smoke or odors too intense, there are emergency exits throughout each attraction. Please stop an actor and let them know and you will be directed to the exit.

Yes, strobe lights are in operation in some of our haunted attractions.

No photography of any sort is permitted inside the haunts; however, the roving characters and creatures working out in the midways will quite often pose for pictures.

Unless otherwise stated, outside food and beverages are not permitted in the Park. In the sole and absolute discretion of the Park, exceptions to this policy may be made for baby food, medical necessities, and special dietary needs. Outside Unopened bottled water and unopened bottled sports hydration drinks are permitted. Outside empty refillable water bottles are permitted. Filling stations are located at the Chicken Shack, Dragon Island Bridge, Outlaw Gulch, and Adventure Bay. Food and beverages in violation of this policy will be confiscated, and failure to abide may result in removal and refusal of re-entry.

Yes, guests may leave the park and re-enter with the proper hand stamp.

As long as the park is open, the haunted attractions will stay open in the rain. However, when conditions warrant, our attractions may have to temporarily close until the weather improves. Please note, Phantom Fall Fest can be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations or early closures will be announced on our website, along with the Adventureland Facebook and Instagram pages.

Yes! Souvenirs can be found in a number of gift shops and kiosks located throughout the park.
